A wonderfully soft, bold blue cashmere cardigan that we believe dates from the 1950's. The embroidered illustration is inspired by The Willow pattern, often seen on 18th century dinnerware. Ours feature romantic scenes of pagodas, bridges, trees and rabbits. These have been hand stitched across the cardigan, telling the story of an escape to nature and a slower, more intentional time.

About the restoration
Cleaning, de-bobbling and tackling the odd moth hole with discreet embroidery (on the sleeve). The custom design is inspired by The Willow patterns that marry English heritage and Chinese antiques. We chose different shades of blue for the embroidery, to bring versatility to the cardigan and increase the number of ways to style it.
The textile is in incredibly good condition and a very fine gauge, testament to the quality produced by Scottish house Braemar.
